It was the Saturday before my sons 4th birthday and we had a party planned out at Gymnastics for him.  He was way stoked.  We also got suckered into saying yes to chuckee cheeses the night before.  How did that happen?   As if birthday parties aren’t expensive enough?! Luckily this spoiling happens once in a blue moon.  My fears of raising kids in this entitled generation  gets the best of me.  So my should be yes’s end up being no much of the time.  My son being able to finagle us into saying yes to chuckee cheese  for his special day was something I was willing to overlook. Our little man is way worth it.  So of course we made it happen on his special day. Luckily, Robert printed out two coupons for 40 tokens we got to use for his birthday.  He felt bad that we used both coupons.  But hey, I didn’t.  The workers accepted both with no qualms. So I have no shame in this game.  I guess that’s the scam artist in me.

Too make our dollar go further, we decided to make dinner at home before all the gaming.  BBQ to be exact!.  I was watching the cooking show “BBQ U” on PBS and my ears perked up like a dog when I overheard the hosts talking about bbq’ing frozen wings on the grill.  The convenience in  bbq’ing frozen wings  is that it not only eliminates the thawing process, but it prevents the skin of the wings from sticking to the grate and making a mess.  Now how clever is that?!  I decided to give it a whirl!  They turned out spectacular!  And it was probably the easiest bbq I ever made! What a hit!  After grilling, just toss them in your favorite hot wing sauce or bbq sauce!  We loved it so much, we already made it again less than a week later!

There is really no ingredients to this.  The hot wing sauce I made has 3 ingredients. Super simple!

Ingredients:

24 frozen chicken wings

For the sauce:

3 cloves minced garlic

3/4 cup of Franks red hot

3/4 stick of butter

Procedure:

1.  Take your garlic, butter, and franks red hot and melt slowly in a pan a sauce pan.2. Pour into bowl and set aside until later.  I also set aside a cup of sweet baby reys vidalia onion BBQ sauce for the kids chicken wings too.

3.) And now time for the grilling wings part.  Place FROZEN wings on bbq grill  for 30 to 35 minutes, turning once in a while.  We closed the the grill as well between turns.

4.) Then when the wings were done, we tossed half the batch in our home made hot wing sauce and the other half in sweet baby reys vidalia onion bbq sauce!  Perfecto!
